Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actor and producer who is best known for the roles she performed on the television series Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She has a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in the fields of theater, film and TV. Her acting career started in the theatre. She then appeared in various television series in independent films, mainstream and film. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she won critical acclaim as well as a variety of nominations and awards, including an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. In 1995, she appeared in her first performance in The Tempest as Ariel. Alongside Broadway's Come and Gone, she has also been featured in Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to her career in movies, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. She is also well-known for her character on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
