
Kristen Anne Bell, born July 18, 1980 [1in the United States, is an American actress. After starting her acting career as a stage actress at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, Bell made her Broadway stage debut in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. She also appeared in the Broadway revival of The Crucible the year after. In 2004, she starred in the action-thriller Spartan (2004). The film was also recognized for her performance as Becky Thatcher in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. The following year she made her Broadway debut for a revival of The Crucible. She reprised the character in the 2014 movie and the new season in the year 2019. Bell starred from 2007 to 2008 in the role of Elle Bishop in Heroes, the superhero drama. Bell was the voice of the character's narrator on the show for teens called Gossip Girl. She will reprise the role for the sequel in 2021. Bell was also on the show as Jeannie van der Hooven, the female protagonist on the Showtime comedy series House of Lies. Bell played Eleanor Shellstrop, the leading role on the critically acclaimed NBC comedy series The Good Place. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award. Bell was also the lead character on the streaming show The Woman in the house across the street from the Girl in the Window.
